The discount feature in the cash register is a bit cumbersome. Would it be possible to create a button that would apply a discount to the transaction as a whole? The itemized works fine, but having to select each item, then scroll through or type/search for the applicable discount, for each item in the cart can be tedious. Yes, we can add a discount to a member's profile, but I don't feel that our intended use for this particular discount would warrant those extra steps be taken for every member. Don't get me wrong, we offer staff discounts on our nutrition supplements and programs, and simply tying the transaction to the employee and then seeing the domino effect of applicable discounts being applied to everything in the cart as we add it is great. However, since we, as a municipality, cannot legally charge credit card fees for debit cards, the Board opted to offer a discount for patrons paying cash for their membership purchase. It would be beneficial to be able to quickly add our discount without adding 4-5 extra clicks to the process.
