Use punchpass/membership expiring first

Why can't you use the "Force Start/End Dates" at set-up? We were hoping that would work for us, as we add electronic punch passes to our system.
I see why that won't work, however you have the option to set the start date in the Membership part, where you select Punch Pass.
Is this not a workable solution for those of you who use them now?

Anne-Marie Orester - I guess I don’t understand why this would help. I would have to edit this on each punchpass I sold - or am I missing something?

Renee Amicucci we're revamping our entire membership/fee plan, and are trying to figure some of this out. I didn't realize it could be an issue, as when I set up the pass, I saw I could adjust the start date, which would solve the overlap. We don't sell a lot of these (we're using a laminated card now, and looking to transition to the electronic version, as we're splitting fees, and none of our fees will be honored at our sister facility), so changing dates isn't problematic for us.
I can imagine, however, if this is a major product for you it would get - frustrating.

Yes! I've noticed this and it's very confusing for staff and patrons when the oldest pass is not used up first!
