Multi-Purpose Courts

It would be helpful to have some logic built into court reservations so that if someone reserves a multi-purpose space, it could block off the alternate use to prevent double booking. For example, we have 2 courts that can either be used for either tennis or pickleball. However, there are two pickleball courts on each tennis court. This frustrates the patrons when reserving a court for pickleball because, even if only one court is being used, the whole court is shown as reserved and this affects the court availability. We don’t see an alternative though because if we set it up as 4 separate courts due to the pickleball arrangement, the tennis patrons would then have to go in and reserve two courts at a time to play tennis.
Before we used Sportsman, we were using Calendly to facilitate the reservation process. Calendly had questions built in that would automatically block off both pickleball courts if someone selected tennis as their court use. Somehow, their software allowed the transition from only 1 reservation per court if tennis was selected to 2 reservations if pickleball was selected. That is the one main complaint that we hear from our patrons when using Sportsman, they preferred the reservation system that we used previously.

Our facility needed sportsman to function in a similar way. We rent our gym by half court or full court and although it might not be super pretty... we have found that if you just tire the spaces it will autoblock the larger space to be unavailable for rental even if only a partial space below it has been rented.
